Integrative pelvic floor work encompasses support, holding and tending to the entire pelvic region. These areas hold a lot; both physically and emotionally. In our pelvic work together, we go slow, at your pace and under your guidance to bring attention and care to these tender places. Though it can be challenging, ideally this work is nurturing, allowing a deeper connection to yourself and a heightened awareness of these areas of the body. We love working with clients in this capacity and deeply honor the trust and courage it takes to do so. As in all of our work, informed consent is essential. This work is for anyone interested; non-pregnant, pregnant, postpartum, and of any gender. A typical session starts with checking in, discussing concerns and goals, abdominal massage and lastly, pelvic floor and/or sacral work as desired/needed. Sessions may include assessment of diastasis recti, uterine position, pelvic floor tone/strength, prolapse, core strength and hip alignment, as well as suggestions for exercises and practices to do at home to support the work we do together.
